Faculty of Education, Bayero University Kano Celebrates 50 Years of Excellence

The Faculty of Education at Bayero University Kano marked its Golden Jubilee anniversary on April 14, 2025, with a grand celebration coinciding with its 3rd National Conference.

The event brought together academia, alumni, policymakers, and dignitaries to reflect on the Faculty's remarkable journey since its establishment in 1975.

The Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwaiba Said Ahmad, praised the Faculty for its evolution into a center of pedagogical excellence, research, and innovation, shaping education in Nigeria. She highlighted the Federal Government's initiatives to boost education, including the disbursement of over N35 billion to beneficiaries under the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) and the approval of N120 billion to boost Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, an alumnus of the Faculty, described the occasion as a defining moment in the University's history, highlighting the Faculty's notable achievements and contributions to national development.
