Family Demands Justice for Slain NDU Student, Francis Paleowei

Family members of the murdered final-year student, Francis Paleowei of Niger Delta University (NDU) in Amassoma, Bayelsa, are calling for justice after he was brutally attacked and killed by a group of community youths. The family is urging the legal authorities to thoroughly investigate the matter and ensure that those responsible for Francis Paleowei's death are brought to justice.

Family members of the murdered final-year student, Francis Paleowei of Niger Delta University (NDU) in Amassoma, Bayelsa, are calling for justice after he was brutally attacked and killed by a group of community youths.

Reports indicate that Mr.Paleowei was fatally attacked for refusing to pay a N150 levy demanded by the youths at a popular sand dump,a common gathering spot for students.

His family has condemned the senseless act and demanded accountability from the perpetrators. Kindness Paleowei, Francis’s brother, took to social media to call out the perpetrators and demand justice. In a heartfelt post, he wrote, “Justice for Francis Paleowei. An Ekeremor Youth, Mr. Francis Paleowei, a prospective first-class final-year student at NDU, was killed by some Amassoma Youths in the sand field over 150 naira for playing in their sand field.”

He expressed frustration with the lack of police action, saying, “My kid brother was beaten to death like a criminal, and the police are not doing anything about it. Justice for Francis Paleowei.”

Francis' sister also took to social media to clarify the circumstances surrounding his death.She wrote:"He is not a cultist,He is not a Yahoo boy,He is not a thief,but just climbing sand dump.He was killed by some of amassoma youths because he doesn't have 150 naira to pay them."
