FETHI Director Of Nursing, Dr. Adeniji Olubunmi Mercy, Honoured At National Oncology Nursing Conference

The Director of Nursing Services at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti, FETHI, Mrs. Adeniji Olubunmi Mercy, PhD, has been honoured with an Award of Clinical and Leadership Eminence at the 2nd National Oncology Nursing Conference held in Abuja from August 12 to 14, 2026.

The Chief Medical Director of FETHI, Professor Kolawole Ogundipe, announced the recognition.

As a distinguished guest speaker at the conference, Mrs. Adeniji delivered a presentation titled “Cancer Genetics for Oncology Nurses: Closing the Knowledge Gap in Clinical Practice.”

Her paper shared valuable knowledge and perspectives with participants on strengthening oncology nursing practice through genetics education.
