Federal Government Declares Friday Public Holiday for Eid-ul-Mawlid

The Federal Government has declared Friday, September 5, 2025, a public holiday to commemorate Eid-ul-Mawlid, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

In a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, on behalf of Minister of Interior Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the government congratulates Muslims in Nigeria and beyond on this occasion.
