Pre-requisites for HND Full-Time Admission in Federal Polytechnic Offa

Basic Qualification Standards

1. Applicants must hold a National Diploma (ND) or a National Innovative Diploma (NID) in their chosen field of study. The diploma must be classified no lower than a LOWER CREDIT from a recognised or accredited polytechnic, monotechnic, or innovative enterprise institution.
2. In addition to the diploma, applicants must have secured at least five (5) credit passes in SSC, GCE O’level, including English Language and Mathematics, in no more than two examination sittings.
3. An alternative qualification includes holding a National Technical Certificate (NTC) or National Business Certificate (NBC) with a credit-level pass in a vocational trade and four other relevant academic subjects. These must include both English Language and Mathematics.

Additional Requirements

1. All candidates must have undergone at least one year of post-National Diploma industrial work experience.
2. Candidates who have received a PASS grade at the ND/NID level are still eligible for admission, provided they have amassed a minimum of two years of post-industrial training experience.

Documentation Process

Candidates who obtained their National Diploma from institutions other than Federal Polytechnic Offa must submit a copy of their transcript to the Registrar’s Office within eight weeks from the date of this public notice. Moreover, all applicants should bear their full names (with the surname appearing first) as it is on their certificates and National Identification Number (NIN). A personal active email account is also required for each candidate.
