Federal Polytechnic Bauchi Expands Degree Programs in Affiliation with University of Maiduguri

The Federal Polytechnic Bauchi (FPTB), in affiliation with the University of Maiduguri, is gearing up to introduce new bachelor's degree programs in Mass Communication, Public Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, and Banking and Finance.

The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, Alhaji Sani Usman, has confirmed the institution's readiness to offer degree programs in management and social sciences. This move follows a visit from a team led by Prof. Liman Tukur, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, aimed at finalizing the affiliation process, including resource verification, which is required for approval by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to run degree programs.

Alhaji Sani Usman expressed his gratitude to the University of Maiduguri for partnering with the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, emphasizing the importance of providing educational opportunities to the youth and empowering them to make positive contributions to society. To prepare for these new programs, the polytechnic is undergoing significant upgrades in internet connectivity and infrastructure to meet the NUC's requirements.

Prof. Liman Tukur praised the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi for its preparedness in terms of infrastructure, workshops, and faculty needed to offer degree-level education. The team from the University of Maiduguri expressed confidence in the NUC's approval of the polytechnic's right to run these degree programs.

It's worth noting that the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi already offers degree programs in engineering and environmental courses through its affiliation with Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.
