The Federal Polytechnic Damaturu Governing Council, led by Chairman Rt. Hon. Alh Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, recently paid a visit to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) and the North East Development Commission (NEDC) in Damaturu. This strategic move aims to strengthen partnerships and collaboration in ensuring a safe and conducive environment for the polytechnic community.
During the visit to the NSCDC, Chairman Abdullahi commended the corps for their exemplary efforts in recovering vandalized property and maintaining peace and security in the state. Deputy Commandant Ahmed Tijjani Jume reassured the Council of the NSCDC's unwavering support, promising to enhance the polytechnic's security guards with cutting-edge training and resources.
At the NEDC office, the Council met with State Coordinator Professor Ali Abass. Chairman Abdullahi expressed gratitude for the Commission's support and sought further assistance in addressing the polytechnic's challenges. Professor Abass reaffirmed the Commission's commitment, emphasizing that the polytechnic is a priority area of interest and pledging support within available funds.
This familiarization visit demonstrates the Governing Council's proactive approach to fostering collaborative relationships, ensuring the polytechnic's continued growth and development.
