Federal Polytechnic Damaturu Muslim Forum organized Annual Ramadan Lecture

The Muslim Forum Federal Polytechnic Damaturu has organized a Ramadan Annual Lecture today Sunday, which is the second of it kind held at the Polytechnic Lecture theratre. The topic of the lecture ' Living with Quran in Ramadan'.

 

 Professor Tukur Alhaji Musa of the Yobe state University Damaturu delivered the lecture which dwelt on the  virtues of the holy Quran land lesson it teaches.

 

According to him reading of the  holy Quran in the month of Ramadan has a lot of benefits as it was revealed in the month. 

He said as one of the articles of faith reading and believing with what it teaches is an ibadat.

Professor Tukur therefore advised the attendees to imbibe  reading of the holy book within and outside Ramadan with good intention and strict adherence to what it teaches as a way of having a good living.

 

The University Don stressed the need of Muslim to be visiting places where Ramadan tafsir holds with the view of benefiting from the holy Quran and it   teachings.

 

Earlier in his welcome address the Chairman of the forum Muhammad Sani Galadima, appreciate the attendees of the lecture for coming, urging them to listen with keen interest so as  to derive the benefit of it.

In his remark, before the lecture, the  vice Chairman of the forum Dr. Yahya Kawu talked largely on the  'do and donts' of the Ramadan fast, which ranges from observance of prayer both obligatory( five daily prayers) and supergerotory(Nawfl), charity, visiting of love ones among others for one to have rewards.

 

However, one what it is forbidden such as creation of emotions that will lead to releases of semen and sperm, backbiting, spreading of rumours, grapevine, falsehood, Dr. Kawu called for avoidance of such for one to have an acceptable fastting.
