The Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny, continued its 2026 Engineering Week on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, with technical sessions and paper presentations focused on strengthening collaboration between academia and industry.

Held under the theme "Enhancing Nigeria’s Energy Generation: The Role of Academia-Industry Partnership," the event featured keynote addresses, expert-led paper presentations, and industrial integration programmes designed to connect academic learning with practical industry experience.

Organizers said the Engineering Week and Biennial Conference brought together industry stakeholders, engineering professionals, and members of the academic community to address the gap between classroom knowledge and real-world application.
