History was made on Friday, December 26, 2025, as the Rector of Federal Polytechnic Oko, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie, was conferred with a prestigious chieftaincy title by the King of Lude Ahiara Autonomous Community, Imo State.

The traditional honour was bestowed by His Royal Highness, Eze Cyril O. Uwaoma, PhD, who conferred on Dr. Awuzie the revered title of Nwanyikaibeya I of Lude, in recognition of her outstanding service to humanity and impactful leadership.
