Federal University Dutse Matriculates 2653 Students for 2023/2024 Academic Session

 The Federal University Dutse (FUD) has matriculated 2653 students for the 2023/2024 academic session, with the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed, urging the new students to focus on their studies.

Speaking at the 12th Matriculation Ceremony held on May 23, 2024, at the FUD Convocation Arena, Professor Abdulkarim noted that the university received 7,576 applications, with 2,981 students offered admission and 2,653 registering.

The VC highlighted that FUD has admitted its first set of students into the BSc. Nursing, BSc. Public Health, and BSc. Environmental Health programs, following a successful resource verification by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

He emphasized that admission into FUD has become highly competitive due to the university's development, popularity of its professional programs, and the relative peace in Jigawa state.

Professor Abdulkarim assured the students that the university management and staff are committed to achieving academic excellence and encouraged the students to do the same. He reminded them that their admission is a rare opportunity, as many others with similar qualifications were not admitted.

The VC also highlighted that the university has modern facilities to enhance teaching and learning.

The Registrar, Alhaji Abubakar Mijinyawa, administered the oath of allegiance to the matriculating students according to their respective faculties.
