Federal University Dutse Releases Cut-Off Mark for 2024/2025 Academic Session

Federal University Dutse (FUD) has announced that the official departmental cut-off mark for the 2024/2025 academic session is 150 and above. This new policy means that prospective students must have an aggregate score of at least 150 in their UTME to be considered for admission.

Dr. Ibrahim Abdullahi, the university’s Admissions Officer, shared insights into the decision. "Setting the cut-off mark at 150 ensures that we maintain high academic standards while also providing opportunities for a larger pool of students. Our goal is to admit students who show promise and are eager to contribute to the academic community at FUD."

The announcement was met with mixed reactions from prospective students. For Aminu, a hopeful applicant, the news brought relief. "I was worried about meeting the cut-off mark, but now I feel more confident about my chances of getting in," he said. Aminu had scored 155 in his UTME and is passionate about studying Agricultural Science at FUD.

On the other hand, Halima, another prospective student, expressed concern. "I scored 148, just two points below the cut-off. It’s disappointing, but I won’t give up. I’ll explore other options and work harder for the next attempt."

"While we understand that not everyone will meet the cut-off, we encourage all applicants to continue pursuing their academic goals. There are always opportunities for improvement and alternative pathways to success," Dr. Abdullahi added.

Prospective students are advised to stay updated with further admission details and guidelines by visiting the official FUD website. The university remains committed to providing quality education and fostering an environment of academic excellence.

As the admission process for the 2024/2025 academic session begins, Federal University Dutse looks forward to welcoming a new cohort of students who will contribute to the vibrant academic community and uphold the institution's standards of excellence.
