Federal University Dutsin-Ma Students' Union Government Meets with Vice Chancellor

The Students' Union Government (SUG) of Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) has met with the Vice Chancellor and the Dean of Student Affairs to discuss the recent tragic incident on campus and other pressing student concerns.
The Vice Chancellor reassured students that an investigation is underway regarding the killing of a student, and the person responsible has been dismissed. The Minister of Education has been briefed, and the President of Nigeria is expected to intervene. A delegation will also visit the deceased student's family in collaboration with the Katsina State Ministry of Education as a gesture of condolence.
Furthermore, the university has announced that students will no longer be required to show ID cards before entering the school premises. A committee, including Students' Union representatives, will also be set up to monitor the university clinic and ensure proper healthcare services for students.
In addition, military personnel have been instructed not to harass students, and the curfew for students returning home has been extended from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Eligible students who submitted appeal letters for NELFUND refunds will start receiving their refunds.
The existing Dress Code Committee has been dissolved, and a new Constitutional Committee will be established in collaboration with the SUG to ensure fair policies. The SUG has expressed its commitment to working with the university administration to address student concerns and ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
