Federal University of Health Sciences Otukpo Announces Post-UTME/DE Screening for 2024/2025

The Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO), Nigeria’s first health sciences university, has officially announced the commencement of its admission exercise for the 2024/2025 academic session.

In a press release signed by the University Registrar, Mal. Aminu Abba, FIMC, FIPMD, eligible candidates are invited to participate in the Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, 21st and 22nd October 2024, at the University's Lecture Theatre, Take-off Campus, Otada, Otukpo.

The screening exercise is open to candidates who applied through the 2024 JAMB UTME or Direct Entry and selected FUHSO as their first choice. For UTME candidates, a minimum score of 180 is required for several science courses, with higher cut-off marks for competitive programs such as Medicine (240) and Biochemistry (200). Direct Entry candidates must hold a minimum of a Second Class lower degree in relevant science courses or A-Level/IJMB qualifications with a minimum of 13 points in subjects including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Candidates who scored 220 and above may also be considered for alternative courses such as Pharmacy, Nursing Science, and Medical Laboratory Science during the screening exercise.

All candidates are advised to bring their relevant documents, including their JAMB results, O'level certificates, and proof of payment of the #2,000.00 screening fee, for the exercise. Those wishing to switch to FUHSO should update their choice on the JAMB portal and select the appropriate program.
