Announcement Concerning FUTA 33rd Convocation Ceremony
The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Professor Adenike Temidayo Oladiji, FAS, extends a formal notification to parents, guardians, graduating students, and the general public on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, Staff, and Students of the University regarding the 33rd Convocation Ceremony, scheduled to take place from Friday, 10th to Saturday, 18th November 2023. The detailed program of activities for the event is as follows:

Friday, 10th November, 2023
1. WAEC GCE Nov/Dec 2023 - Practice for Objective & Theory: A practice session for the WAEC GCE Nov/Dec 2023 examination from 1988 to the present. An app is available for download. Location: T. I. Francis Auditorium. Time: 10:00 a.m.
2. Post-UTME Past Questions: Original materials for Post-UTME past questions are available for download in PDF format for your school of choice, along with a 1-year SMS alert service.
3. WAEC & NECO SSCE: Offline past questions and answers for WAEC and NECO SSCE exams from 1988 to the present are available for download.
4. Press Briefing: Location: T. I. Francis Auditorium. Time: 10:00 a.m.

GENERAL INFORMATION
- Parents and Guardians, as well as the general public, will not be allowed into the Auditorium. A special area has been designated for live proceedings and will be accessible to Parents, Guardians, and friends of Graduating Students upon presentation of invitation cards.
- Only officials with appropriate tags and individuals with invitation cards will be granted access to event venues.
- Vehicles without appropriate tags must be parked in designated areas, and there will be a restriction on vehicles without tags within the Campus.
NOTICE TO GRADUATING STUDENTS
- Graduating students are required to participate in the academic procession wearing approved academic gowns. Gowns will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis after the payment of appropriate fees.
- Graduating students are also expected to pay for specially designed scrolls and a copy of the Order of Proceedings, containing the names of all graduating students.
- Ph.D. graduating students should purchase designated academic gowns through the School of Postgraduate Studies.
- All students must be at the robing venue by 8:00 a.m. at the car park of the Obafemi Awolowo Auditorium, FUTA.
- The procession for graduating students begins at 8:30 a.m.
- Graduating students who are not fully robed will not be allowed to participate in the procession.
- Graduating students will not be permitted to join the procession once it has started.
- Graduating students should contact the appropriate officials of their Schools for fee schedules, payment methods, invitation cards, ceremony details, and related instructions. Additionally, they are encouraged to visit www.futa.edu.ng for further details.
