Federal University of Technology Babura Announces Permanent and Pensionable Appointments
The Federal University of Technology, Babura (FUTB), Jigawa State, has begun appointing qualified professionals to various permanent and pensionable positions.

The Federal University of Technology, Babura (FUTB), Jigawa State, has commenced the appointment of qualified professionals into various permanent and pensionable positions within the institution. This initiative aligns with the university’s commitment to strengthening its workforce and enhancing administrative efficiency.
According to an official announcement by the Registrar, Fatima Binta Mohammed, the appointments cover multiple departments and units, including the Internal Audit Unit. These new employees will assume their roles in accordance with the university's statutes, ordinances, and senior staff service conditions, as periodically revised by the University Council.
Each appointment is subject to a medical examination, with selected candidates required to submit their reports before assuming duty. The employment also entails a probationary period of two years before confirmation, after which it will continue until retirement, provided all conditions are met. During the probationary period, appointees are not permitted to hold union executive positions.
The university has also outlined provisions for the termination of employment, stating that either party may end the contract by giving three months’ notice or paying one month’s salary in lieu. Additionally, salary adjustments will not be entertained after acceptance of the appointment.
Selected candidates have been directed to confirm their acceptance of the offer in writing and communicate their availability to assume duty. The university has given a four-week deadline for responses, after which non-responsive candidates will be considered to have declined the offer.
The appointment letters include enclosures such as a medical examination form and three copies of a personal particulars form, which appointees are expected to complete and return as part of the employment process.
