The Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi (FUTIA) has announced its 3rd Lecture Series, inviting members of the university community and the general public to participate in an academic engagement focused on institutional financial governance and management.

The event is scheduled to hold on Friday, May 29, 2026, at the University Lecture Theatre between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

According to a statement issued by the Inaugural Lecture Committee on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Governing Council, Management, and Senate, attendees are expected to be seated by 12:30 p.m. ahead of the formal arrival of principal officers and the lecture procession.

The lecture is titled “Financial Management in the University System: Unbundling the Theatrics, Understanding the Dynamics.”

It will be delivered by Dr. Mbobo Erasmus Mbobo, FCA, ACTI, the University Bursar, who also holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Sector Accounting and Governance.
