A tragic incident occurred in Kaduna State where a female National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Grace Chalya Silas, was robbed and stabbed to death while jogging. The young graduate of the University of Jos, Plateau State, fell victim to this heinous crime on the morning of October 18, 2023.

The statement issued by Eddy Megwa, Director of Press and Public Relations for the NYSC, conveyed their condolences to the grieving family, the deceased's colleagues, and her employer. The NYSC Management further pledged to collaborate closely with various security agencies to bring the perpetrators of this heinous act to justice.
