The final-year students (FYBs) of Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi, in a recent letter, publicly apologized to Rev. Fr. Caleb Ogbe, the Catholic chaplain of St. John Paul II Catholic Chaplaincy at the university. The students expressed their sincere regret for actions that had disappointed the chaplain and acknowledged that their behavior did not reflect the values of the institution.

The letter highlights the esteemed reputation of Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University as one of the most disciplined institutions in Nigeria and possibly West Africa. The students, led by their president Emeritus JoSTUM and PRO of NANS-HQ, Gundu Mimidoo Joy, conveyed their apology, stating that their actions were not intended to undermine the chaplain's contributions and sacrifices.

"We understand that you are upset and disappointed with our recent actions. This is not what you envisioned, and we, the final-year students, want to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience we have caused," the letter reads. The students affirmed their commitment to correct their errors and restore respect.
