The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Schools Management Board has reaffirmed its commitment to the advancement of FUNAAB International School (FUNIS) following a strategic engagement with the school’s management and staff.

The meeting, held on March 3, 2025, was chaired by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and Chairman of the Board, Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi. Also in attendance were the Head of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Dr. Oludayo Oduwole; Deputy Bursar II, Mrs. Comfort Dasaolu; and the Board Secretary, Mr. Olufemi Babatunde.

During the deliberations, staff members provided valuable insights into the school’s operations, highlighting key challenges and suggesting improvement strategies. The discussions focused on strengthening collaboration between FUNIS, FUNAAB, the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA), and the Alumni Association to foster academic excellence and infrastructural development.

Key resolutions from the meeting included enhancing the school’s aesthetics, procuring additional desktop computers for students, and boosting Internally Generated Revenue (IGR). Additionally, participants emphasized the need for increased support from FUNAAB’s management, stable power supply, greater publicity for FUNIS activities, and improved staff motivation initiatives.

The engagement underscored FUNAAB’s unwavering commitment to creating a conducive learning environment for students at FUNIS, with actionable strategies outlined to drive sustainable improvements in the school.
