In a poignant turn of events, Daniel Rouamba, a Ghanaian student from Adisadel College, who demonstrated exceptional academic prowess by scoring 8As in the 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), now faces the grim reality of being unable to further his education due to financial constraints.
Daniel's academic journey has been marked by resilience, having lost his mother during his schooling. The financial struggle became apparent as early as class six when he nearly dropped out due to a lack of funds. However, recognizing his academic potential, the school's proprietor granted him a tuition-free scholarship, ensuring he could continue his education.

Stephen Essilfie, one of Daniel's basic school teachers, shared the challenging circumstances Daniel faced, mentioning that his mother's passing in class 5 left him with only his father, a bicycle repairer, as the sole provider. The school's proprietor intervened with a scholarship worth GH¢90, recognizing Daniel as their best student.
Despite overcoming financial hurdles during his basic education, Daniel encountered another obstacle while in senior high school.
