In a dedicated effort to address the often-overlooked issue of mental health, especially among young people, Sunday Akande, Founder of the Centre for Leadership Development in Africa (C-Lead Africa), will be conducting a training session for volunteers and students in Counseling and Human Development Studies at the University of Ibadan this weekend. The focus of the training is to equip participants with the skills needed to assist individuals experiencing mental distress.

Mental health remains a crucial but frequently unaddressed topic, particularly among the youth, and is identified as a significant contributor to instances of violence, whether directed towards oneself or others, in society. Recognizing the importance of tackling this issue, Akande is committed to promoting the well-being of young people, with the ultimate goal of reducing the overall crime rate in society.
