FULafia Accounting Students Shine at NUASA National Convention

The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) is celebrating a notable achievement by its Department of Accounting students, who secured second and third positions among over 40 participating universities at the National Convention of the Nigerian Universities Accounting Students Association (NUASA) held at the University of Abuja.

The Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, his deputy, Dr. Tijani Ahmed Ajayi, and other staff members from the Department of Accounting, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, to present the outstanding students and commend their remarkable performance.

Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, a distinguished professor of accounting, has been instrumental in fostering academic excellence in the Faculty of Management Sciences. He recently delivered the university's 24th Inaugural Lecture, highlighting the crucial role of accountants and auditors in preventing financial fraud in Nigeria's public sector.

This achievement underscores the university's commitment to providing quality education and nurturing talent in accounting and management sciences. The Faculty of Management Sciences at FULafia has grown significantly since its establishment in the 2019/2020 academic session, offering various programs, including Accounting, Business Administration, and soon, Procurement Management, Marketing, and Aviation Management.
