The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, led a powerful delegation, consisting some members of his Management staff, on a private visit to His Royal Majesty, the Aku-Uka of Wukari, His Royal Majesty, Manu Ishaku Ada Ali, myschoolnews Report

The Aku Uka of Wukari was appointed by former president Muhammadu Buhari to serve as the Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia in April, this year.

It would be recalled that Manu Ishaku Ada Ali was crowned Aku-Uka of Wukari in the Kwarrarafa Kingdom of Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State, in the early part of this year.

His installation came barely three months after the demise of the chairman, Taraba Council of Chiefs, Dr Shekarau Angyu Masa-Ibi Kuvyu II, last year.

Abdul Rahman congratulated Ali on his ascension to the thrown of his forefathers and his subsequent appointment as the Chancellor of FULafia.

Abdul Rahman prayed Allah to make the reign of the Aku-Uka a very successful one and give him good health and wisdom to preside over the affairs of his kingdom.

He said that they were in Wukari to pay homage to the Aku-Uka, wish him well and show their support to his kingdom.

Speaking, His Royal Majesty, Manu Ishaku Ada Ali Matakhitswen Aku-Uka of Wukari, who is the Chairman, Council of Chiefs, Taraba State, expressed his joy with the calibre of persons in the entourage of the vice-chancellor, pledging his support to the University.

He said that the reputation of the vice-chancellor had long preceded his visit to Wukari, adding that he was sure that the University was on the right track to achieve great things.

Along with the vice-chancellor on the journey to Wukari were the University Registrar, Malam Nuradeen Abdu, Director, Open, Distance and E-learning, Dr Dlama Zira Joseph, Mr Agabi Jubril, the Head of Department of Business Administration, Director, Environmental Safety, Wing Comrdr. Umar Awe (rtd), and Mr Ozomata Bashir, Personal Secretary to the Vice-Chancellor.
