The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced that students enrolled in 36 state-owned tertiary institutions can now apply for student loans. This development follows the successful submission of student data by these institutions to the NELFUND Student Verification System (SVS).

The management of these institutions has ensured that their students are eligible for the loan scheme, marking a significant step in making higher education more accessible.

In a statement, NELFUND urged other state-owned tertiary institutions to submit their complete student data to the SVS promptly to allow their students to benefit from the scheme.
