FULOKOJA to Commission Landmark 1.72MW Solar Project

The Federal University Lokoja (FUL) is set to commission its groundbreaking 1.72 Megawatt Rural Electrification Project next month, marking a significant achievement in sustainable campus infrastructure.

The project, jointly funded by the World Bank and the African Development Bank, will enable the university to generate surplus electricity and achieve energy self-sufficiency.

The university's Senate, during an oversight visit to the project site on April 24, 2025, expressed admiration for the project's scope and potential impact. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, described the project as a testament to his visionary leadership and a milestone in the institution's development.
