For more than two decades, Professor Ibrahim Ahmad Rufai has served Bayero University with distinction through teaching, research, mentorship, and academic leadership. Born with a passion for engineering and problem-solving, Professor Rufai built his academic career around the belief that research should provide practical solutions to society’s most pressing challenges. His expertise lies in Mechanical Engineering, with a strong focus on sustainable energy systems, mechanical design, and engineering innovations that promote efficiency, environmental sustainability, and technological advancement.

As a lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Bayero University, Kano, Professor Rufai has spent over twenty years educating and mentoring generations of engineers. Beyond teaching, Professor Ibrahim Ahmad Rufai currently serves as the Director of the Directorate of Research, Innovation, and Partnership (DRIP) at Bayero University, Kano.
