Prof. Akinwumi Lauds Iweha's Financial Aid to FUL Students
The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Professor Olayemi Akinwumi has praised Mr. Empire Iweha for donating the sum of N624,500.00 as financial aid to support nine (9) students who are studying various programmes at the University.
Professor Akinwumi made this known while hosting the donor and the beneficiaries during the symbolic presentation of the money to assist the selected students in their studies.
Deeply moved by Mr. Iweha's generosity, the VC expressed heartfelt appreciation, stating that FUL takes great pride in individuals like him. Glancing through the list of the beneficiaries, the VC applauded the initiative, adding that it would go a long way in ameliorating the heavy financial burden borne by the parents of the students, especially in paying the school charges. He, therefore, challenged the students to focus more on their studies to justify the confidence reposed in them.
Similarly, the University Librarian, Dr. Mrs. Sarah Yani, and the acting Bursar, Mr. Atanze S. Elogun, who made separate remarks during the presentation, commended the donor for his magnanimity and offered heartfelt prayers for God's continued blessings upon him. They equally urged the students to reciprocate the kind gesture through hard work and excellent academic performance.
The beneficiaries, overwhelmed by emotions, did not hide their gratitude as they shed tears of joy in appreciation of Iweha's benevolence and timely intervention to alleviate their financial challenges. Reacting, Mr. Iweha who is a staff of the University expressed gratitude for the opportunity God has given him to make a difference in the lives of young Nigerians and students of the Federal University Lokoja, pledging to sustain the gesture.
It is worth noting that the presentation of the cash prizes as financial aid left a positive impact on everyone who witnessed the exercise. Mr. Iweha's generosity and passion for rendering financial assistance to the students underscore the significance of selflessness and compassion to others especially in challenging times like this. It serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration, illustrating the profound positive impact individuals can exert when they willingly extend a helping hand to others.
