FUNAAB Appoints New Deans for COLCOMP, COLPHYS

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has announced the appointment of Prof. Oluwasefunmi Arogundade as the pioneer Dean of the newly established College of Computing (COLCOMP), and Prof. Victor Makinde as the new Dean of the College of Physical Sciences (COLPHYS), with effect from August 1, 2025.

Prof. Arogundade, a distinguished expert in Computer Science from the Department of Computer Science, is an accomplished scholar in Software Engineering, ICT for Development (ICT4D), and Smart Systems. She has led several cutting-edge, technology-driven research projects and holds patents in agro-based innovations.

On his part, Prof. Makinde, a renowned authority in Applied Geophysics from the Department of Physics, is a prolific academic who delivered the University’s 95th Inaugural Lecture. He has held various administrative positions and is widely known for his impactful work in environmental geophysics and sustainable groundwater development.

The appointments reflect confidence in their ability to provide academic leadership and contribute meaningfully to the University’s overall development.
