FUNAAB Donates Emergency Beds to FMC Abeokuta to Boost Healthcare Capacity

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has donated four Single-Crank Emergency Beds to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abeokuta, in a move aimed at enhancing the hospital’s ability to handle emergency cases effectively.

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has donated four Single-Crank Emergency Beds to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abeokuta, in a move aimed at enhancing the hospital’s ability to handle emergency cases effectively.

The donation was presented by Dr. Oluseyi Anjorin, Acting Director of Health Services at FUNAAB, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde. According to Dr. Anjorin, the gesture was made in appreciation of the prompt medical services FMC provides to the university’s students and staff.

“The donation is a token of our gratitude for the excellent care FMC Abeokuta delivers to our university community. We believe these beds will help the hospital admit more emergency patients and continue providing high-quality care,” Dr. Anjorin remarked during the handover.

Dr. Adekunle Ashimi, Chief Medical Officer of FMC’s Accident and Emergency Unit, received the donation on behalf of the hospital’s Chief Medical Director, Prof. Adewale Olomu. He expressed sincere gratitude to FUNAAB, noting that the emergency beds would significantly enhance the hospital's equipment and capacity to respond to urgent medical needs.

This initiative is part of FUNAAB’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, reinforcing its commitment to improving healthcare services in Ogun State.
