The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has launched its Bio-Risk Management Policy, reaffirming its commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all members of the university community.

The policy aims to promote safety, foster innovation, and protect the university community, including students, staff, researchers, and visitors.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Babatunde Kehinde, emphasized that the policy is a vital tool in addressing the growing challenges associated with research involving biological agents. He noted that the policy would help institutionalize a robust culture of risk awareness and biosafety compliance in all research and academic activities.

The policy outlines core objectives, including hazard identification, risk assessment, risk mitigation, training, and awareness.
