FUNAAB SUG, NAAS Leadership Seek Partnership with Public Relations Directorate
The leadership of the Students' Union Government (SUG) and the Nigerian Association of Agricultural Students (NAAS), Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Chapter, has sought stronger collaboration with the University's Directorate of Public Relations (DPR) to enhance communication and promote the institution's image.
The leadership of the Students' Union Government (SUG) and the Nigerian Association of Agricultural Students (NAAS), Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Chapter, has sought stronger collaboration with the University's Directorate of Public Relations (DPR) to enhance communication and promote the institution's image.

The separate courtesy visits, held on June 29, 2026, at the Directorate's Conference Room, focused on strengthening cooperation in publicity, image projection and the effective dissemination of information on the university's programmes, achievements and other activities.
The SUG delegation was led by its President, Comrade Oluwatimileyin Soga, while the NAAS delegation was headed by its President, Comrade AbdulRasaq Fawaz.
During the meetings, the student leaders pledged to work closely with the Directorate to ensure that members of the university community, particularly students, receive timely and accurate information about developments within the institution.
They also commended the Directorate for its sustained efforts in promoting FUNAAB's positive image and growing reputation.
Welcoming the delegations, Acting Head of the Directorate of Public Relations, Olasunkanmi Olajide, described the visits as a demonstration of the student leaders' commitment to the continued growth and development of the university.
He emphasised that every member of the university community serves as an ambassador of the institution, urging the student leaders to contribute positively to preserving and enhancing FUNAAB's reputation.
Olajide also briefed the visitors on the structure, responsibilities and functions of the Directorate, assuring them of its willingness to support legitimate student activities through effective publicity and strategic communication.

He encouraged the student leaders to uphold the university's values in the execution of their programmes and advised them to exercise caution in their use of social media, noting that their conduct both online and offline reflects on the image of the institution.
The meetings were attended by staff of the Directorate of Public Relations as well as other executive members of the Students' Union Government and the Nigerian Association of Agricultural Students.
