In a bid to increase its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and boost visitor engagement, the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) recently hosted children from the Ogun State Chapter of the Prison Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) for an exciting wildlife adventure at the FUNAAB Zoo Park.

The young visitors embarked on a guided tour, exploring the diverse animal life within the park. As they strolled through the lush trails, they had the opportunity to observe a variety of wildlife up close, offering a thrilling and educational experience that connected them with nature.FUNAAB Zoo Park continues to demonstrate its commitment to sustainability with a recent fresh harvest of vegetables from its ornamental garden. This marks the second successful harvest under the management of the Park’s gardener, Mr. Daniel Sunday. Eager members of staff purchased the produce, adding a healthy touch to their meals, while zoo animals were also treated to some of the fresh greens.

These efforts are part of the Zoo Park's ongoing initiatives under the leadership of its Director, Prof. Sammy Sam-Wobo. Since assuming his role, Prof. Sam-Wobo has worked to enhance the Park's image and value, making it a vital resource for both the University community and the wildlife it cares for.
