Adamawa State Government Offers Automatic Employment to 60 Indian-Trained Engineering Graduates

The Adamawa State Government has granted automatic employment to 60 engineering graduates who completed their studies in India under the state's foreign scholarship scheme.
The beneficiaries, who have also completed their one-year national service, expressed gratitude to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for the opportunity.
According to Dr. Umar Umar Garba Pella, Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, the scholarship initiative was introduced in 2020 to provide Adamawa indigenes with access to world-class engineering education in India ¹. The Governor has reaffirmed his administration's dedication to sustaining the scholarship program for future beneficiaries.
Preparations are underway to send another batch of students to China for advanced studies under the state's next scholarship phase. Tahir Iju Sama'ila, speaking on behalf of the graduates, praised the Governor's commitment to education and youth empowerment, noting that Adamawa's support stood in contrast to other states that abandoned their students abroad .
With this move, Governor Fintiri continues to prioritize educational investment, solidifying Adamawa's position as a model for progressive governance in Nigeria.
