The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abayomi Sunday Fasina and the Governing Council of Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE), have rolled out the drums to the Ekiti born Chef and student of the university, Damilola Adeparusi, who had embarked upon a cooking marathon since Friday 9 June, 2023 at Ilupeju Ekiti.
Chef Damilola Adeparusi, a student of Mass Communication Department, who determined to set a cooking record of 120 hours has surpassed Hilda Baci’s 100-hour Cook-a thon record at a prepared residence in the Oye local government of Ekiti State.
Speaking at the venue, Vice-Chancellor, Federal University Oye Ekiti, Professor Abayomi Sunday Fasina said that he came with a team of Council members to throw in their weight to the lofty endeavor while congratulating the Chef.
He said: “Congratulations, l am so excited because one of our students has made us proud. It is worth a clapping ovation. I heard about it three days ago and I was so amazed.
“The members of Council and management team are here to support you to hit that target of a 120-hour cooking stint and we are very proud of you.
