FUTA Open and Distance Learning Centre Orients Fresh Students

The Federal University of Technology Akure's Open and Distance Learning Centre recently organized a physical orientation programme for fresh students admitted into the BSc Computer Science programme.

The Vice-Chancellor, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic, congratulated the students on joining the university and urged them to take advantage of the conducive learning environment to achieve academic excellence.

The Director of the Centre highlighted the programme's flexibility and accessibility, ensuring students can excel and graduate with the same category of degree as resident students. The orientation featured lectures on academic procedures, university infrastructure, healthcare services, and personal security tips.

The programme aimed to acquaint fresh students with university policies and ethics, providing necessary information about life and work in the university.
