The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), Professor Adenike Oladiji, has pledged increased support from the university's management to bolster the operations of FUTA Radio 93.1. This commitment was made during a productive meeting with the board members of FUTA Radio, led by its chairman, Professor Tomola Obamuyi.

Professor Oladiji assured the board of management's dedication to addressing the challenges faced by the radio station and its staff, particularly in operational efficiency and staff welfare. She affirmed, "Management is cognizant of the need for improvement in the operations of the Radio and the welfare of its staff. We are committed to resolving these issues and providing the necessary support for the smooth functioning of the Radio."

Expressing appreciation for the board's commitment, Professor Oladiji emphasized the significance of FUTA Radio as a vital component of the institution, promising continued support and investment in its operations.

In response, Professor Tomola Obamuyi, Chairman of the FUTA Radio Board, conveyed gratitude to the university management for recent provisions, such as 30kva batteries and inverters, which have aided in sustaining power supply to the station. He acknowledged the unwavering support from the Vice Chancellor and management, which has enabled the radio station to remain operational amidst challenges.

Professor Obamuyi expressed optimism that the meeting would result in improved technical support and staff welfare for FUTA Radio. He highlighted the station's growing reputation among the public and its role as a prominent platform for projecting the university's activities and identity.

Assuring the Vice Chancellor of the board's commitment, Professor Obamuyi affirmed that with continued support, FUTA Radio 93.1 would maintain its position as a reliable source of information, education, and entertainment.

In attendance at the meeting were board members Professor J.S. Ojo, Mr. Adegbenro Adebanjo, Mr. Isaac Fafila, Mr. A. Alabi, Mr. G.T. Adeoye, and M. Oguntolu.
