The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has once again affirmed its status as a center of academic and scientific excellence, with several of its staff and alumni ranked among the world’s top 2% scientists.

The recognition comes from the widely respected World Top 2% Scientists Ranking, compiled by Stanford University, USA, and Elsevier, based on a Scopus data snapshot of August 2025.

The ranking highlights FUTA researchers’ contributions in two categories: Career-Long Impact and Single-Year Impact, reflecting both sustained influence and current relevance in global scientific research.
