The Conquistadors graduating class of 2023 at the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) hosted a well-received Summit/Corporate Day titled “Navigating the Marketplace: Transitioning from Academia to Industry.” Held on September 10, 2024, the event featured a range of activities designed to prepare students for their professional futures.

The summit began with a competitive pitching session, awarding the top three participants with prizes of ₦500,000, ₦300,000, and ₦200,000 respectively. Esteemed speakers Ayo Bankole, CEO of Caladium Consulting, and Dr. Babajide Milton Macaulay, renowned for his numerous scholarships and grants, delivered insightful presentations on the summit's theme.

A series of panel discussions followed, covering critical topics such as career development and life after graduation. Panelists included Prof. Folashade Dahunsi, Moses Ogunranti, Arc. Junwon Agbebi, Timi Alabi, and Dr. Babajide Milton Macaulay, who shared their expertise and experiences with the audience.

The event concluded with awards for the top-performing final year students in both male and female categories, based on their cumulative grade point averages. Sponsored by Alaba, the awards recognized the top three students in each category with prizes of ₦100,000, ₦130,000, and ₦150,000.
