FUTMINNA Dismisses Allegations of Involvement with Fake Professors

The Federal University of Technology, Minna has issued a press release addressing recent widespread reports regarding the discovery of approximately 100 fake professors in Nigerian universities by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

The management of FUT Minna has unequivocally clarified that none of the nine individuals listed in the report as fake professors—Nurudeen Adenuga, Fauziyyah Adeyemi, Halima Abubakar, Hamdat Olufemi, Hawa Alhassan, Idris Adigun, Jamilu Ahmad, A'isha Bello, and Haroon Akande—have any association or affiliation with the university. Furthermore, these individuals have never been part of the institution in any capacity whatsoever.

In a statement released by Mrs. Lydia W. Legbo, Deputy Director of the Information, Publications, and Public Relations Unit, the university explicitly disavowed any knowledge or connection with the mentioned persons. The management of FUT Minna emphasized that any dealings or engagements with these individuals, whether as individuals or as a group, are entirely at the risk of the involved parties.

The university has taken a firm stance to distance itself from these purported fake professors and aims to ensure the public is aware of the lack of affiliation or recognition accorded to the mentioned individuals within the institution.
