In line with the commencement of the 2024 Ramadan Fast, Gombe State University has adjusted its work closing time for the fasting period.

The adjustment, approved by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Aliyu Usman El-Nafaty, OFR, entails closing at 3:00pm from Monday to Thursday and at 1:00pm on Fridays. The university extends best wishes to all Muslim colleagues observing the Ramadan Fast.

Gombe State University, through an internal memo from the Registrar to all staff, announces the adjustment of work closing time for the duration of the 2024 Ramadan Fast.

The adjustment, approved by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Aliyu Usman El-Nafaty, OFR, takes effect from the date of the circular, March 11th, 2024.

During the Ramadan Fast period, work will close at 3:00pm from Monday to Thursday, and at 1:00pm on Fridays, allowing Muslim staff members to observe their religious obligations.

The university administration, represented by the Registrar, Deputy Registrar (Establishment), Abubakar Ibrahim Difa, extends best wishes to all Muslim colleagues embarking on the Ramadan Fast, wishing them a blissful and spiritually rewarding experience.

Copies of the memo are circulated to the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellors (Administration and Academic), Bursar, University Librarian, all Heads of Departments/Units, and displayed on all notice boards across the university campus.
