Gombe State University Hosts 2025 Rotary Family Health Days

Gombe State University is hosting the 2025 Rotary Family Health Days, a three-day community outreach program organized by Rotary International.
The event, which runs from February 13-15, 2025, offers free medical services to the public, including malaria screening, HIV testing and counseling, hepatitis B & C screening, diabetes and glucose level checks, and blood donation services.
The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Professor Danladi M. Umar, expressed the university's appreciation for hosting the event. He emphasized the importance of accessible healthcare and encouraged the university community and surrounding neighborhoods to take advantage of the services provided.
The Director-General of the National Blood Service Agency, Professor Sale Yuguda, represented by Dr. Sani Abunakar, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the importance of blood donation in medical emergencies and patient care.
