Gombe State University Mourns the Loss of Promising Student, Fatima S Abdullahi
Gombe State University (GSU) is mourning the tragic loss of one of its students, Fatima S Abdullahi, who passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023, at her hometown in Lagos.

The news of her untimely death has cast a shadow of sorrow over the university community.
Fatima was a 100-level student in the Biological Sciences department at GSU. She had recently completed her examinations, albeit while battling a minor ailment. Tragically, her condition worsened after returning home, and she peacefully passed away on the morning of September 11, 2023.
Fatima's classmates have confirmed that she was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic teachings in Lagos. The entire university community extends their condolences to her family and friends during this difficult time.
In a heartfelt message, the university community prays that Allah Almighty may have mercy on her soul and grant her eternal rest in Jannah (Paradise). They also wish her friends and family the strength and patience to cope with the loss of a beloved member.
