Five KASU Accounting Graduates Inducted as Chartered Accountants by ICAN

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) has inducted five graduates and students from the Department of Accounting at Kaduna State University (KASU) as Associate Chartered Accountants (ACA). The induction ceremony, held in Lagos on Tuesday, 3rd December 2024, recognized their exceptional achievement in passing the May 2024 Diet Professional Examination.

The inductees are:

1. Emmanuel Stephen Gombe, a 2023 KASU graduate with a Master’s degree (ICAN membership number: MB064740).

2. Halima Ibrahim, a 2018 KASU graduate with a B.Sc. in Accounting (ICAN membership number: MB064840).

3. Benjamin Joseph Gwabin, a 2016 KASU graduate with a B.Sc. and 2023 M.Sc. (ICAN membership number: MB064930).

4. Dorcas Gideon Kyangchat, a 2014 KASU graduate with a B.Sc. and 2023 M.Sc. (ICAN membership number: MB064813).

5. Olaniyan Razaq Adeleke, a 400-level KASU student who achieved the ACA qualification before completing his undergraduate studies (ICAN membership number: MB065262).

ICAN's Governing Council commended the inductees for their dedication and discipline in the accounting profession, describing their achievement as a symbol of hard work and excellence.

Dr. Murtala Abdullahi, Head of the Department of Accounting at KASU, congratulated the inductees, emphasizing that their success brings pride to the university and sets a high standard for current and future students.
