Gombe State University Resumes Academic Activities, Releases Revised Calendar

Gombe State University has announced the resumption of academic activities, effective November 4, 2024, following a special Senate meeting held on October 28, 2024.

The university's Registrar, Dr. Abubakar Aliyu Bafeto, confirmed the development, stating that the revised 2nd semester calendar for 2023/2024 applies to both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

According to the revised calendar, academic activities will unfold as follows:

Undergraduate Program

November 4 - December 21: Resumption and lectures (8 weeks)

December 22 - January 4: Mid-semester break (2 weeks)

January 6 - February 1: Lectures (4 weeks)

February 3 - 22: Examinations (3 weeks)

Postgraduate Program

October 28 - November 16: Lectures (3 weeks)

Students are advised to familiarize themselves with the revised calendar and make necessary adjustments.

The university's decision to resume academic activities is expected to bring normalcy back to the campus.
