Gov. Abdulrazaq Urged to Establish Governing Council for Kwara State College of Education, Technical in Lafiagi
The Lafiagi Descendants Development Union urges Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to establish a Governing Council for the Kwara State College of Education, Technical, Lafiagi, citing adverse effects on the institution's administration and development.
The Lafiagi Descendants Development Union (LADDU) has raised an urgent concern regarding the Kwara State College of Education, Technical, Lafiagi (COETL), which has been operating without a duly constituted Governing Council. This absence is reportedly hindering the institution's administrative direction and its capacity for development.
In an open letter to His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, Governor of Kwara State, the union emphasized that the lack of a Governing Council has led to significant challenges, including a deficit in strategic decision-making necessary for implementing reforms and advancing key projects at COETL. This situation is detrimental not only to the college’s growth but also to the welfare of the surrounding community.
The letter urges the governor to take immediate action to constitute a Governing Council for the college, highlighting that the establishment of such a body would provide essential administrative oversight and foster an environment conducive to academic excellence and development. The union believes that a well-structured council would enable COETL to fulfill its potential as a leading center for technical education in the region.
The Lafiagi community views the college's development as critical to their prosperity, and they remain hopeful that under the governor's leadership, Kwara State can continue to set high standards in educational excellence.
