Governor Hyacinth Alia has inaugurated the construction of a new Cancer Treatment Centre at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH) in Makurdi.

This new facility, to be situated within the BSUTH premises, aims to offer cutting-edge cancer diagnosis and treatment services for residents of Benue State and neighboring regions. The Governor's initiative reflects his dedication to enhancing the healthcare system and ensuring access to high-quality medical care.

The Cancer Treatment Centre will feature advanced diagnostic technologies and treatment options, including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and state-of-the-art surgical procedures. It will also include specialized oncology departments staffed by a team of highly skilled medical professionals.
