Governor Sani Commends NOUN and CHRDEI for Human Capital Development

Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Uba Sani, has praised the National Open University of Nigeria's (NOUN) Centre for Human Resource Development (CHRD) and the Centre for Human Resource Development and Empowerment Initiative (CHRDEI) for their contributions to human capital development. This commendation was delivered by the Special Adviser on Monitoring and Evaluation, Mrs. Mary Adeola Olarerin, at the 28th Graduation Ceremony of NOUN CHRD and CHRDEI in Kaduna.
Governor Sani expressed gratitude for the initiative to provide employability skills, highlighting the importance of such efforts in addressing youth unemployment. He noted the state's commitment to skills acquisition, evidenced by the establishment of three Skills Acquisition Villages.
The Chairman of the Occasion, Hon. Barrister Mahmud Lawal Ismaila, emphasized the state's focus on education, with 26% of the budget allocated to the sector and a 50% reduction in tertiary tuition fees.
NOUN Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Peters, represented by Prof. Isaac Butswat, highlighted the university's dedication to partnerships, including recent collaborations with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
