Governor Sule Pledges Infrastructure Boost for FULafia; Set to Fund Roads and Hostels

The Nasarawa State Government has committed to addressing the critical infrastructure deficit at the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) following a strategic engagement between the institution's leadership and the state executive.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, led the University’s Management team on a courtesy visit to the Government House, where he outlined urgent needs required to sustain the institution's growth.

During the visit, Prof. Kida appealed to Governor Abdullahi A. Sule for state intervention in several key areas:

Expansion: Assistance in acquiring more land to accommodate new academic departments and a growing student population.

In his response, Governor Sule congratulated Prof. Kida on his leadership and reaffirmed the state’s commitment to the university’s success. He specifically pledged to:

Complete Abandoned Projects: Provide immediate funding to finish an abandoned hostel project previously initiated by the state.

Infrastructure Development: Support the university in addressing its broader infrastructure challenges, including the requested road networks.

The Vice-Chancellor expressed his gratitude for the Governor’s sustained partnership, noting that such collaboration is essential for FULafia to achieve its academic and developmental mandates.
