The National Association of Kano State Students (NAKSS) has outlined the eligibility criteria and procedures for the upcoming 2024/2025 elections. Aspirants for any elective position must be registered students of NAKSS.
Students vying for key positions such as President, Secretary General, Financial Secretary, and Treasurer must meet specific academic requirements, with a minimum GPA of 2.50. Candidates for all other positions must have a GPA of no less than 2.00. Additionally, those contesting for President, Secretary General, Financial Secretary, and Treasurer must be Higher National Diploma (HND) students.
Forms for the election are available through the NAKSS Sale Director or Financial Secretary, with non-refundable fees ranging from N1,500 to N5,000 depending on the position.
The sale of forms will take place from September 13 to September 20, 2024, followed by form submission on September 21 and 22. Candidates will be screened on September 23 and 24, with the election and announcement of results slated for September 26.
